LIBTA Spring 2018 Conference Review
Business Teachers will be in demand – so says Marsha Iverson in her fact-filled keynote address to the LIBTA Spring Conference attendees on March 20th. With the NY State Education Department's 4+1 Option, we learned that a shortage of FACS and Technology professionals will pave the way for Business Teachers to step into the instructional void.

Knowing how legislative changes affect our classroom is only one aspect of the many benefits of membership with the LIBTA. Our Spring Conference included a best practices hour with proven activities demonstrated by experienced teachers, and copies/links were sent to our members for use in their own classrooms.

Certiport Rep Bob Imhof guided us on how to use certification testing (such as MOS) to meet the updated CTE graduation requirements. The Nassau Perkins Consortium may even be able to pay for the exams!

And Sue Gubing introduced SHRM's new Employment Law Office Simulation, similar to their award winning Virtual Human Resources Assistant certification program.

With so many opportunities to choose from, LIBTA works to provide you with relevant and valuable CTLE professional development. All attendees received 2 hours of CTLE credit.

Don't miss our next conference in the Fall of 2018!
